Stories of Arrival posters on display

Stories of Arrival posters on display on Vashon Island for the First Friday Art

Walk on July 1st at Anu Rana’s Healthy Kitchen on Vashon’s Main Street.

The posters in celebration of the beloved cultural foods and traditions of homelands that

are currently on display at Tukwila’s Spice Bridge Global Food Hall in the Tukwila

Village at 14200 Tukwila International Blvd. will also be on exhibit for the month of July

on Vashon at a favorite island spot, Anu Rana’s Healthy Kitchen. Along with other

compelling poems from this year’s project and with broadsides from the previous project

and book, We Are the Future: Poems with A Voice for Peace viewers are in for a

very moving exhibition. In celebration of our newest book The Voice of My Heart:

Unforgettable Memories in an Unforgettable Year. We are thrilled to exhibit these

artful posters as part of Vashon’s popular first Friday Art Walk. Both of these compelling

books with their vibrant original art and powerful poetry created by refugee and

immigrant youth are available for order from Seattle’s Chin Music Press.
