Support refugees and immigrants in sharing their stories through poetry. Begin or further your work alongside newcomers to host countries with poetry, writing prompts, and exercises that open up a pathway for refugees and immigrants to tell their stories. Participants will practice using poetry to create safe space for refugees and immigrants to voice experiences of loss and trauma, and to honor homeland traditions and loved places as part of creating a bridge that welcomes them in support of their hopes for life in a new country.

Modeled from her expansive experience and Stories of Arrival program, Merna is offering this facilitator training as a 4-part series of workshops, along with an in-depth resource toolkit and training packet.
